I have a question about birthdays. How do you know when that person in having one? I can't find a place to post the date(day). I checked profile but they isn't any place to put it. Please help. Another question. This one is about MOTHERS DAY. Do we have an icon for that? I know we have alot of moms out there. T hank you, Gail DUH-DUH about that second question. I just went to Free Smilies and there were a few good choices for mothers day and alot of other holidays. I don't know how to post those things. So I am sorry that I wasted your time. Unless YOU would like to post a few samples so we can choose one. Thanks again. Hey Gail! No question is a stupid question. If the member chooses to have their age made public in their profile then their birthdays will show up at the bottom of the forum on that day. If the person hides their age then I don't believe we get notice of it. I could be wrong. It could be everyone's shows up. Just watch the bottom of the forum that says today's birthdays! I don't have smiley central but I will try to find some mother's day icons for people to use! - Kelly

Hi Cat, You are NOT. We were all in the same boat at one time - trust me. What has happened here is that you're adding the link to the photobucket page itself. I know it's confusing but when pasting an image the code is a little different. What you need to paste in between those image tags (you did click the right one) is the DIRECT LINK url which you see just to the right of Skeet's elbow when you're on the photobucket site. I cannot take a screen capture of it right now as I don't have any photo software at work. I just got it work for me but I won't post it as you should it's a GREAT new one - unless you want me to. Let me know. I don't want to steal your thunder. xx

<a href="http://s82.photobucket.com/albums/j246/tinkerous/comic%20con%202006/?action=view¤t=IMG_3730.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j246/tinkerous/comic%20con%202006/IMG_3730.jpg" border="0" alt="skeet ulrich"></a>[/img] SG: I am trying again. But just a note - I can't find a code next to his elbow. Could I be putting in the wrong code? Is it the URL or the html?

Gayle you actually were almost there!! What you did above was grab the IMG code and then put a second image code in here. If you grab the IMG code from photobucket it already puts the code in it so you don't have to add anything when you bring it back over to the forum. So all I did was modify your post above to take out that second set of code and it's there!! - Kelly

How do I open up the brackets? They seem awful close together. I am trying to put the paste right in the middle. But I love the way you put the picture there for me - thanks. I really liked that photo of his hands. Gail

Gail, if you want to post a pic from photobucket just click on the IMG Code and copy it. You don´t need anything else - just copy and paste that IMG Code. Hope that helps

Some photo hosting websites already include the image in brackets - you don't need it twice. At Photobucket you have 2 choices. If you pick Direct Link it does not include the image tags so you have to click on the icon inside the thread and paste it in between. If you pick Image Code it inserts the image tags so you do not have to click on the Image icon in your thread. It should be: the link . I have updated the Posting a Photo thread to say this also. Sorry for the confusion.

Okay so the image tags is not the issue. You are pasting the hyperlink from the top of the page and it is adding this: 202006/?action=view¤t= to your code. Cat, if you click on this link: s82.photobucket.com/albums/j246/tinkerous/comic%20con%202006/?action=view¤t=IMG_3729.jpgyou will be taken to the page where the image of Skeet is over to the left more. If you look beside his elbow, you will see the same thing as someone captured for you above (where they circled). That's the link you need to copy, not from your browser up above. Hang in there girl, I know this is so frustrating but YOU CAN DO IT!!

How do you get the fancy backgrounds up for your avatar in the left margin? Yours all look so pretty.

Hi Judes! 1. Profile 2. Modify Profile 3. Scroll down until you see MP Background 4. Put the URL of the background picture you want. Make sure it is a rather simple picture. Pictures of people and pictures with too much in them won't look good. Holler if you need more help! - Kelly

Just some help needed here. I know how to post a picture, but how do you get the picture to appear each time you post - like a banner at the bottom of the reply? What do I do to make it stick? Thanks in advance!
