Love the set-up, but still feeling a bit *awkward* . I skimmed through the help section, but so far haven't found what I'm looking for. First of all, the color bar -- I thought it might be font color, but it didn't change. Secondly, the "exalt / smite'' thingy's?? (yes, I am so very tech savvy!)
And can someone guide me through posting an image? *just for future reference. I'm an old dog, but occasionally, I can learn a new trick!

HI Kay, these are excellent questions! I'm making separate threads for each one so people can refer to them easily. THANKS so much - I know the stuff is not obvious at all.

I just noticed there are boxes at the bottom of the page that show who's online (I'm really not this dense, I swear!), I've seen this on other online message-type boards. Sometimes blogs have a running total of how many are online, but not names.
There are catagories here for "invisible users" and "guests."
I assume it's for the "behind the scenes" people but are there people who can view the boards (besides the behind the scenes people) without logging-in?
Just curious. ;D

Actually any member has the option of being "invisible." It is an option in your profile. As for any outsiders being able to see the threads, no they cannot. You have to be a registered member to see anything here. Guests will only see a login/register box. It gives all of us registered members a bit of privacy. - Kelly

It is an option in your profile. - profile - modify profile - scroll down to Stay Invisible: Choosing "Yes" will make it so that you are not listed as online except to staff members. TY! It wasn't an urgent need to know, but I found it intriguing. I like having the ability to post and know that only other registered members can view the site. Keeps the trolls at bay!

I think its a great feature. Plus it's nice to know, as this palce becomes homier and homier, that people have to provide a working email address before we'll let them in the door.

Oh great forum gurus, is it possible for the threads to automatically display where you last left off? I'm not sure how to explain that.
In some forums, when you select a thread, it will automatically scroll down to the last post you read.

Hey Judes Baby!!!
Do you mean go to the last post you posted back inside the thread, or after you posted you want to go back to the thing you were responding to??
Sorry, FRIDAY BRAIN.
I can probably find whatever you want if you can make me understand it. (teehee THAT's the big challenge...HAHAHA)

On Singleton, when I go into a thread where I've posted before, it shows me everything after my last post.

Gotcha. Okay I'm checking it out. I think I might have already added the code for that, I just need to go in and activate it. We'll see, try later on tonight!

You know I thought I put that code in and it works for me but only sometimes. I wonder if it is counteracting against another code? SG let me know what you find out. Before you add one though make sure you check to see that it's not already there b/c I swear I added it. - Kelly
